I am a UKCP registered Psychodynamic and EMDR psychotherapist, with several years' experience in senior NHS healthcare management and seven years experience of running a therapeutic community for those with more complex mental health problems.
I have a particular interest and experience working with dissociative disorders, including DID and C-PTSD, body image disorders, as well as chronic pain management all from a compassion-focused therapy approach.
Alongside offering individual EMDR for a wide range of mental health problems, I continue to run a weekly therapy group which can be attended alongside individual therapy for additional support.
This groupwork is particularly helpful for those with interpersonal difficulties stemming from a complex trauma background, and being a member of this group, entitles members to 24/7 support via a confidential facilitated on-line forum, which can be invaluable in-between sessions.
I also run a free monthly support group for people suffering with Body Dysmorphic Disorder in association with the BDD Foundation.
Since training in EMDR, I have focused more on individual work using EMDR from an attachment-informed perspective for a wide range of problems, including for the management of chronic pain with great results.
EMDR has transformed the way I work and I delight in seeing clients who would have previously needed longer term therapy, making dramatic steps forwards in their recovery, and sharing in the magic of EMDR.
